Super Bowl 2015: Katy Perry blows it during halftime show
Katy Perry awed viewers during Super Bowl’s halftime show on Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Her performance had a lot of great moments which included performances with rock star Lenny Kravits and a surprise appearance by hip-hop icon Miss Elliot.
Perry made a grand entrance by riding a mechanical metallic lion, wearing a flame inspired outfit and performed her massive hit “Roar”. Next was “Dark Horse” which was performed on a field of amazing digital effects. Lenny Kravitsthen joined Perry to perform her first hit “I kissed a girl”. Lenny rocked the guitar and Perry roared soared the vocals. Next came Perry’s dance with the sharks as she performed "Teenage Dream" and "California Gurls."
Rumored guest performer Missy Elliot then joined Perry to perform her hit songs. The two performed “Get Ur Freak On”, “Work It” and “Lose Control”. Miss Elliot’s performance stole the show. Elliott has been away from the music world for nearly a decade. Perry closed the show with “Fireworks” as she flew across the field as fireworks shot in the sky.
The 12 minute performance was also marked with several costume change as Katy Perry rocked four different Jeremy Scott looks. Prior to the performance, the 30 year-old star said "I just hope that at the end of the day, over 100 million people are all smiling in unison."
Twitter recorded over 2 million tweets relating to the performance and many related to the singer’s multiple costume change. She certainly did not disappoint and the performance was unlike anything that has been done before during Super Bowl.
